I saw this cute little bird on Pinterest (I can’t find the original artist to credit!) and loved it so much, I decided to use it for a thank you card. Tweet tweet!

Watercolour Bird on Old Sheet Music

The library I work at has been throwing out some old novels and sheet music (see the Tree painted on an old Sherlock Holmes story in a different post below!).

I thought the paper was so beautiful it needed to be re-purposed. I have started experimenting with watercolours for the first time, and thought a little birdy might go nicely with the sheet music…

I’ll definitely have to do some more and get it just right (I want a more opaque bird for starters), but for now – here’s my first attempt 🙂© Michelle De Aizpurua and MissyCartoons 2015
